Vermilion, OH – Quaker Steak & Lube® will be opening its 33rd restaurant on March 13, 2009 in Vermilion, OH at 3:00pm.  The new restaurant will be located at 5150 Liberty Ave, Vermilion, OH.

Quaker Steak & Lube®, voted “Best Wings USA,” is home to 20 signature chicken wing sauces in addition to a variety of Award-Winning food to include burgers, sandwiches, fresh salads, and a Kids menu.  The Atomic sauce is so hot you must sign a release form!  “The Lube®” as it’s known, is motor-sports themed and encompasses the most unique décor in the restaurant industry, much like a museum.   In addition, The Lube® in Vermilion will feature special fish options daily.

There are many special items on display, including a Yellow Submarine, artifacts from the McGarvey’s restaurant, a USA License Plate Map on the wall, a hanging boat, a mechanical sailor and a spinning motorcycle suspended in the air.  There is no wall left undecorated, as there are numerous pictures, memorabilia, and classic car and motorcycle parts that adorn the interior of the entire restaurant.

The Vermilion Quaker Steak & Lube® will seat approximately 200 guests, and features two bars that offer a variety of ice-cold bottled and draft beers as well as other “lubes” and distinctive drinks.  Catch any of your favorite sporting events on one of our big screens!

Quaker Steak & Lube® claims a wide and highly loyal base of customers, a demographic that chain executives call “2 to 82”. The original Quaker Steak & Lube® was founded in 1974 and was built in an abandoned gas station in Sharon, Pennsylvania as a cook-your-own steak restaurant. After a visit to the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, New York, chicken wings were included in the menu. As the company began to become profitable, a full-size kitchen was added.  Today, The Lube® has won over 100 national and international awards for their wings and 20 different wing sauces.

Quaker Steak & Lube®, voted “Best Wings USA”, was recently named Best Family Friendly Dining in the Cleveland market and brought home 1st and 2nd places for chicken wing sauces from the National Buffalo Wing Festival in Buffalo, New York.  The Lube® also won three Golden Chile Awards (1st place) for its sauces at the Fiery Food Challenge, and recently won for best creative toppings at the National Hamburger Festival for its legendary Lubeburger.
