The Lube& Named Best Social Media Company by Advertising Age Power 150 Blog and Top 100
in the 2011 Social Media Ranking based off of Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500
SHARON, Pa. – April 2011 – Quaker Steak & Lube ®, the motorsports-themed casual-dining family restaurant chain best known for its chicken wings and 25 specialty sauces and flavors recently received national recognition for the company’s social media strategy. The Lube® was named Best Social Media Company in the B2C category by Business2Community, an Advertising Age Power 150 Blog. In addition, based off of the Entrepreneur Franchise 500 List, Quaker Steak & Lube® placed in the Top 100 of FranchiseHelp.org’s list of Best 2011 Social Media Companies, ranking number 59.
The Business2Community Top Social Media Company award was given to The Lube® for its participation in the “#BizMadness Tournament” which was an online voting competition that placed power brands such as Groupon, Scottrade and Chili’s Bar & Grill against each other for the most popular vote. Over the course of four weeks, followers from The Lube®’s social media platforms and members of the general public voted for the restaurant as the best B2C social media brand. Out of a total of 64 companies within the competition, Quaker Steak & Lube® won by more than 4,000 votes.
