Every Restaurant to Give Away a Year of Free Wings
Sharon, Pa. – Thirty-five years ago, George “Jig” Warren and Gary Meszaros converted an old Pennsylvania gas station into a miniature motorsports museum and served up their first “Quaker Steak.”  Today, The Lube is America’s number one motorsports-themed casual dining restaurant and even more famous for its award-winning wings.

To thank guests for their loyalty, on Tuesday, April 7, The Lube cranks up a five-month “Buckets of Fun” celebration featuring free food and a chance to win a 1974 Corvette.  Buy any Full or Compact Bucket of Wings or Munch Bucket of Bolts (The Lube’s appetizer sampler) and receive a surprise envelope.  Inside is a free food offer good on a return visit.  Offers range from a free Biker Chick Chopped Salad to a free half-rack of ribs.  Each restaurant will give one guest a year of free wings.  The envelope also includes the entry form for the Corvette, to be given away during a Webcast in August.

On Monday, April 20, 28 Quaker Steak & Lube restaurants are offering a popular “Sprintster” six-pack of wings for just 35 cents instead of the usual $5.99.  The special runs all day, but you better sprint to the closest Lube, as long lines are expected to form early.

“When we opened our first restaurant, we never would have imagined that the concept would take off the way that it has,” said Warren. Today, there are 32 restaurants in 12 states.  In fact, at 35, The Lube’s growth is in high gear, with eight more locations scheduled to open this year, including its first in Toronto, Canada, debuting this week.  “Even with the economy downshifting, guests are still packing our restaurants, and we are extremely grateful for that,” said Meszaros.

Voted Best Wings USA, Quaker Steak & Lube is a fun, family-oriented restaurant with a motorsports-themed atmosphere.  Founded in 1974, Quaker Steak & Lube features unique décor, including race cars, motorcycles, Corvettes and gas station memorabilia decorating the walls.  Visit www.quakersteakandlube.com for more information, including locations and rules on the Buckets of Fun promotion and Corvette giveaway.
