Parobek to design and execute new strategies in planning, inventory and logistics for the growing brand.
SHARON, PA. – November 28, 2011 – Quaker Steak & Lube®, the award-winning motorsports-themed casual-dining concept, announces that William (Bill) Parobek has joined the company as Vice President of Supply Chain Management. He is charged with all aspects of inventory control, as well as keeping The Lube®’s supply chain management on track for long-term growth and success.
The Lube® currently owns or franchises more than 40 restaurants throughout the United States and Canada. It plans to open 15 units in 2012 and has commitments for a total of more than 50 new locations over the next five years.
“Bill has proven operations and purchasing success in the casual-dining sector,” said John Longstreet, President and CEO. “His background and personality will be a perfect fit for our organization.”
Parobek previously was the Director of Purchasing with Apple American Group, a large franchisee of Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill and Bar. He oversaw 337 units in six states, allowing him to rectify procedural problems, and coordinate various projects, over a large field. In his previous capacities as District Manager, General Manager and Kitchen Manager, Parobek has consistently spearheaded efforts to drive revenue, cut costs, improve efficiency and educate staff members.
