Sharon, PA –Quaker Steak & Lube® recently broke ground to kick off construction on the new Quaker Steak & Lube® restaurant, which will be located in Westminster, CO.

Quaker Steak & Lube®, voted “Best Wings USA,” is home to 21 signature chicken wing sauces in addition to a variety of Award-Winning food to include burgers, sandwiches, fresh salads, steaks, ribs and a Kids menu.  The Atomic sauce is so hot you must sign a release form!  “The Lube®” as its known, is motor-sports themed and encompasses the most unique décor in the restaurant industry, much like a museum.

The restaurant will be 7,400 sq. ft., house two bars (to include the patio), will seat close to 400 guests, and employ between 150 and 200 people.

This is the first Quaker Steak & Lube® in the state of Colorado.  Bob Bolan, owner and partner is excited to bring The Lube® brand to the western part of the United States.  “The Lube® concept is a unique blend of great service, award-winning food to include Best Wings USA, supercharged events and the most unique motorsports-themed décor in the restaurant industry,” said Bolan.   “We believe it’s the perfect site for us due to the exposure it receives from heavily-traveled U.S. Route 36, Bolan added.”

The Denver Quaker Steak & Lube® is expected to open in October, 2010 and will serve the same menu as the original Lube. It will host Tuesday All You Can Eat Wings Nights, Wednesday Bike Nites in the summer as well as many other favorite Lube events.

The original Quaker Steak & Lube® was founded in 1974 and built in an abandoned gas station in Sharon, Pennsylvania as a cook-your-own steak restaurant. After a visit to the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, New York, chicken wings were included in the menu. As the company began to become profitable, a full-size kitchen was added.  Today, The Lube® has won over 100 national and international awards for their wings and 21 different wing sauces.  The Lube® features unique décor items including Race Cars suspended from the ceilings, Motorcycles, Corvettes and Gas Station Memorabilia decorating the walls. The restaurant began franchising in 1997 and today has locations throughout the United States and Canada.  Visit www.quakersteakandlube.com.
