National Restaurant Chain Challenges Customers to Visit 48 Vacation Hot Spots Across the U.S.

Sharon, PA – Quaker Steak & Lube®, the award-winning automotive-themed restaurant chain known for its 21 chicken wing sauce varieties, recently launched The Lube Nation Vacation, a user-generated photo contest that challenges customers to travel to 48 designated vacation hot spots across the U.S. from now until Sept. 6.

The 48 Lube Nation Vacation hot spots are outlined on a digital map in a tab on the restaurant chain’s Official Facebook Fan Page. Upon traveling to a destination, customers are asked to take with them a piece of Quaker Steak & Lube memorabilia such as a Quaker Steak & Lube T-shirt, hat or downloadable picture or mask of Gizzard Coop, the restaurant’s well-known mascot.

Participants can enter the contest by visiting a hot spot, snapping a picture with the memorabilia and by uploading the photo to the restaurant’s Facebook Fan Wall. All participants who upload a photo will receive a $5 off $25 coupon and will be entered to win a grand-prize of a family cruise for four people.

“Although there is not a Quaker Steak & Lube in every state, the restaurant has generated a cult following across the nation,” said Bob Mentrek, senior vice president of promotions and marketing at Quaker Steak & Lube. “The Lube Nation Vacation photo contest embraces the idea  one of America’s greatest pastimes, the summer vacation, and challenges our  loyal customers to bring a piece of Quaker Steak & Lube to areas that are new to the brand.”
