Grand Opening to Bring Michigan Residents Best Wings USA and 22 Sauce Varieties for the First Time
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Nov. 29, 2010 – The award-winning national restaurant chain Quaker Steak & Lube® will bring nearly 200 jobs to Grand Rapids and will celebrate its ribbon cutting ceremony with a VIP pre-grand opening event for special guests, area dignitaries and media on Dec. 6 from 6- 9 p.m. The public grand opening celebration will take place on Dec.8 starting at 3 p.m. as the Grand Rapids store is the first Quaker Steak & Lube® restaurant in Michigan.
Grand Rapids residents will be introduced to the motorsports-themed chain that is known for its Best Wings USA and 22 sauce varieties. The restaurant will feature a new 9,160 square-foot store design that accommodates indoor and outdoor patio seating for more than 300 people. There will be a bar area for guests, a game room near the front of the restaurant as well as a Wingo Window that offers guests the full menu for take-out food. The unique interior décor includes a Home Depot Car that was driven by Tony Stewart in 2003, a 2004 Rusty Wallace Miller Lite car and a 27-foot long Top Fuel Dragster in Thunder Alley. Also displayed throughout the building will be motorcycles provided by Grand Rapids Harley-Davidson, Village Motorsports and Smokin’ Joe’s Motorsports.

The Lube® will feature appetizing menu selections and will hold super-charged events all week including Monday Night Football on the big screen TVs, All-You-Can-Eat Wings every Tuesday, Bike Nite on Wednesdays during the summer, $0.50 Boneless Wings on Thursday, karaoke on Friday nights, live entertainment featuring bands, trivia and open mic night on Saturdays and Service Industry Nights on Sundays. Today, The Lube® has 41 locations and has won more than 100 national and international awards for their wings and sauces. Most recently, Quaker Steak & Lube® was voted Festival Favorite at the 2010 National Buffalo Wing Festival.
