Quaker Steak & Lube®, voted “Best Wings USA,” is home to over 20 signature chicken wing sauces in addition to a variety of Award-Winning food to include burgers, sandwiches, fresh salads, ribs and a Kids menu. The Atomic sauce is so hot you must sign a release form! “The Lube®” as its known, is motor-sports themed and encompasses the most unique décor in the restaurant industry, much like a museum.
There is no wall left undecorated, as there are numerous pictures, memorabilia, and classic car and motorcycle parts that adorn the interior of the entire restaurant. The Madison Lube will feature: a University of Wisconsin decorated Volkswagon Bug hanging in the Lobby; a locally-owned 1966 Volkswagon Karmann Ghia wrapped with 2000 car cruise photos; a dune Buggy and race car designed, built, raced and donated by the University of Wisconsin; University of Wisconsin hockey jersey, basketball jersey, and football jersey for the UW sports wall; an entire wall dedicated to motorcycle memorabilia; one wall dedicated to car memorabilia; one wall dedicated to UW racing and Capital Brewery memorabilia.
The Lube® will feature many of the same favorite menu selections as the other Quaker Steak & Lube® locations and hold super-charged events and promotions all week including Happy Hour All Day on Sunday, Team Trivia on Monday from 7pm-9pm, All-You-Can-Eat Wings every Tuesday, Buck OFF! every Wednesday, Big Cans Night and our NEW 50¢ Breaded Boneless Wings every Thursday and Karaoke with Northern Lights Entertainment on Fridays! There will ALWAYS be something great happening at the Madison Lube!
Quaker Steak & Lube® also features a variety of ice-cold bottled and draft beers as well as other “lubes”. Catch any of your favorite sporting events on one of our big screen televisions!
Scott Acker, owner and partner of the new Madison Quaker Steak & Lube®, is very excited to bring his second restaurant in the system to the state of Wisconsin.
“The Lube® concept is a unique blend of great service, award-winning food to include Best Wings USA and the most unique décor in the restaurant industry. The super-charged events and promotions is what separate this concept from the rest of our competitors.”
Quaker Steak & Lube® claims a wide and highly loyal base of guests, a demographic that chain executives call “2 to 82.” On any given day, the restaurant will be visited by all demographics, including singles, couples, families, sports enthusiasts, seniors and the young without skewing heavily to any one group. The appeal, outside of the race cars, vintage cars and motorcycles, is the food. “It’s the very center of the table stuff,” Gary Meszaros, Co-Founder states.“We serve buckets of Award-Winning wings, buckets of signature appetizers, a rack of ribs meant to be shared, healthy hamburgers, nice salads, distinctive drinks and kid’s meals.”
The original Quaker Steak & Lube® was founded in 1974 and built in an abandoned gas station in Sharon, Pennsylvania as a cook-your-own steak restaurant. After a visit to the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, New York, chicken wings were included in the menu. As the company began to become profitable, a full-size kitchen was added. Today, The Lube® has won over 100 national and international awards for their wings and over 20 different wing sauces. The Lube® features unique décor items including Race Cars suspended from the ceilings, Motorcycles, Corvettes and Gas Station Memorabilia decorating the walls.
Quaker Steak & Lube®, voted “Best Wings USA”, was recently named Best Family Friendly Dining in the Cleveland market and brought home 1st and 2nd places for chicken wing sauces from the National Buffalo Wing Festival in Buffalo, New York. The Lube® also won three Golden Chile Awards (1st place) for its sauces at the Fiery Food Challenge, and recently won for best creative toppings at the National Hamburger Festival for its legendary Lubeburger.
The company began franchising in 1997 and has plans to open nine restaurants in 2010. For more information on Quaker Steak & Lube®, visit www.quakersteakandlube.com. Find us on Facebook!
