The new restaurant in Colerain will bring 150 to 180 jobs to the area.

Colerain, OH – Quaker Steak & Lube® will be opening its 32th restaurant in Colerain, OH on March 11, 2009. The new restaurant will sit just off the Colerain Avenue exit on I-275 in the Stone Creek Center at 3737 Stone Creek Blvd. Quaker Steak & Lube®, voted “Best Wings USA,” is home to 20 signature chicken wing sauces in addition to a variety of Award-Winning food to include burgers, sandwiches, fresh salads, steaks, ribs and a Kids menu. The Atomic sauce is so hot you must sign a release form! “The Lube® ” as its known, is motor-sports themed and encompasses the most unique décor in the restaurant industry, much like a museum.

There are many special items on display, including Steve Engel’s 1963 Pro Modified Drag Car, with a tribute in The Lube® ’s Vette Room. It is one-half of the car similar to the one he raced (See photos at the end of this document). Other artifacts from the motor-sports world include: a Red Baron hydroplane boat that was piloted by Bill Whitehouse; vintage motorcycles hanging from the ceiling; the 1987 Kawasaki drag bike ridden by Dave Schultz; the #2 NASCAR driven by Rusty Wallace sitting over Thunder Alley Bar and a 1965 Mustang sits on a rack being repaired. There is no wall left undecorated, as there are numerous pictures, memorabilia, and classic car and motorcycle parts that adorn the interior of the entire restaurant.

The Lube® will feature all the same favorite menu selections as the other Quaker Steak & Lube® locations, along with Kids Eat Free on Monday, All-You-Can-Eat Wings every Tuesday our world famous Bike Nite every Thursday and Car Cruise-ins on Sunday! Watch for many more exciting events coming to The Lube®  all week long including Off-Road and Truck Nite, Family Night, Live Entertainment, Happy Hour and much more! There will ALWAYS be something great happening at The Colerain Lube!

Quaker Steak & Lube® also features three bars – The Handlebar, Thunder Alley, and The Brickyard – that offer a variety of ice-cold bottled and draft beers as well as other “lubes”. Catch any of your favorite sporting events on one of 37 flat panel televisions (including 2 projection screens).

Along with the great food and eye-popping décor, Quaker Steak & Lube® is also available for motorcycle and car club meetings as well as parties and social events. For small or large gatherings, the Colerain Lube will be ready for you! Call (513) 923-WING.

The Colerain Quaker Steak & Lube® will seat over 300 guests, house three bars with one being an outside patio bar and employ 150 to 180 people. Jim Combs, owner and partner of the new Quaker Steak & Lube® in Colerain is very excited to be building his second Lube restaurant in the system.

“The Lube® concept is a unique blend of great service, award-winning food to include Best Wings USA, supercharged events and the most unique motorsports-themed décor in the restaurant industry,” said Combs.

Quaker Steak & Lube® claims a wide and highly loyal base of customers, a demographic that chain executives call “2 to 82”. On any given day, the restaurant will be visited by all demographics, including singles, couples, families, sports enthusiasts, seniors and the young without skewing heavily to any one group. The appeal, outside of the race cars, vintage cars and motorcycles, is the food. “It’s the very center of the table stuff,” Gary Meszaros, CoFounder states. “We serve buckets of Award-Winning wings, buckets of signature appetizers, a rack of ribs meant to be shared, healthy hamburgers, nice salads, distinctive drinks and kid’s meals.”

The Lube® also relies on event marketing to attract customers. On Bike Nite, for example, it’s typical for 1,000…2,000…even 3,000 bikers to pull into the parking lot of most any Quaker Steak & Lube®  location! The Cleveland, Ohio Quaker Steak & Lube®  holds the record with 7,200 bikers in one night. All-You-Can-Eat Wing Night is popular with high school and college students. It’s the restaurant’s hope that these students will continue to visit The Lube® after graduation, once married and then with their kids. The Lube® is proud to have generations of customers from loyal families.

The original Quaker Steak & Lube® was founded in 1974 and built in an abandoned gas station in Sharon, Pennsylvania as a cook-your-own steak restaurant. After a visit to the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, New York, chicken wings were included in the menu. As the company began to become profitable, a full-size kitchen was added. Today, The Lube® has won over 100 national and international awards for their wings and 18 different wing sauces. The Lube® features unique décor items including Race Cars suspended from the ceilings, Motorcycles, Corvettes and Gas Station Memorabilia decorating the walls.

Quaker Steak & Lube®, voted “Best Wings USA”, was recently named Best Family Friendly Dining in the Cleveland market and brought home 1st and 2nd places for chicken wing sauces from the National Buffalo Wing Festival in Buffalo, New York. The Lube(R) also won three Golden Chile Awards (1st place) for its sauces at the Fiery Food Challenge, and recently won for best creative toppings at the National Hamburger Festival for its legendary Lubeburger.

The company began franchising in 1997 and has plans to open eight restaurants in 2009. For more information on Quaker Steak & Lube®, visit www.quakersteakandlube.com.
