WESTLAKE, OH – The TA Restaurant Group announced today that a home for persons with disabilities in Westlake, OH, operated by North Coast Community Homes (NCCH) was named in honor of Quaker Steak & Lube® (QS&L) in recognition of QS&L’s community leadership role in being the host sponsor of the Ride for the Record event held in Northfield, OH, earlier this year. The collective goal was to set the world record for simultaneous motorcycle engine starts, all in the name and for the benefit of the NCCH charity. The event created awareness of NCCH to 1,060 riders, attendees and media who now understand the mission that the charity supports.
"We are deeply humbled to be presented with this honor. The opportunity to be involved with Ride for the Record allowed us to learn about the important mission of NCCH and how our efforts have helped those special residents the facility cares for," said John Ponczoch, senior vice president of the TA Restaurant Group.
The dedication plaque was presented on November 18, 2016 at the NCCH Home in Westlake, Ohio.
